About Greer Pediatric Dental Care

Greer Pediatric Dental Care is located in a brand new facility in Greer, SC with state-of-the-art equipment designed to provide your child with the best possible care in a comfortable and inviting environment. We specialize in the dental needs of children, starting with the eruption of their first tooth.

Parent Guidelines

We encourage you to stay with your child during the initial examination so that we may adequately discuss prevention and educate both you and your child. During future appointments you may choose to be with your child in the operatory area, or if you wish, you may remain in the reception area during your child’s treatment. We wish to build a trusting relationship with both you and your child; therefore we ask that parents who choose to accompany their children in the operatory area allow us to gain your child’s confidence.

We ask for you to be silent supporters of your children. This will allow us to maintain proper communication with your child and allow your child to listen to just one voice. Also please avoid saying “it is not going to hurt” or use words like “needle” or “shot.” Many times this causes incorrect or a misled understanding of the procedure and your child may focus on these words and expect pain or discomfort. Additionally, children will listen to their parents instead of the appropriate member of our dental team and may not hear what the dentist, Dr. Mary, or the dental assistants are saying.

For the safety and privacy of our patients, all other children that are not scheduled for treatment, are asked to remain in the reception room. Young children in the reception room will need a supervisory adult with them at all times.

Additionally the use of cellular phones is prohibited in the operatory area. The extra conversations carried on by others in the clinical area can be distracting to children and prevent us from close careful communication.

Finally, a guardian must remain in the office at all times while your child is receiving dental treatment. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Cancellation Policy

We reserve time for each and every patient. Your child’s scheduled appointment is specifically for him/her. Any change in this appointment affects many other patients. If a cancellation is unavoidable, please call the office at least 24 hours in advance so that we may give that time to another patient.

Fees

Our fees are based on the actual work that is rendered. Payment in full is expected at time the services are provided for your child. We accept cash, check, VISA or MasterCard. Any returned check will be charged a $30 fee on top of the original amount owed.

Insurances Accepted

All insurances are accepted. Preferred provider information will be available upon request at the office or upon scheduling appointment.
